Mike Argirakis – Belle Vernon

Mike Argirakis, 86, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, in his home. A son of the late Constantine ‘Gus’ and Mary Loulis Argirakis, he was born in Monessen on Dec. 22, 1933. Mike was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he retired from Corning Glass of Charleroi. Survivors include three grandchildren, Dorthia Argirakis of Belle Vernon, Mcall Argirakis of Monessen and Joel Class of Belle Vernon; one great-grandchild, Isabella Class; two brothers, Anthony Argirakis and John Argirakis, both of Monessen; and several nieces and nephews, including Anthony Argirakis, who has been his plenary guardian since 2017 and his wife Dawn of Rostraver Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Argirakis, on May 13, 2016; two sons, Michael C. Argirakis and Anthony L. Argirakis, both in 1987; one great-granddaughter, Sierra Class in 2010; and a brother, Victor Argirakis. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300. Face masks are required in the funeral home. A blessing will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with Father Michael Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
