Lorraine Monticelli Koper – Monessen

Lorraine Monticelli Koper, 72, of Monessen, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 at her home. Born March 28, 1948, in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Anna Tesolin Monticelli. A resident of Monessen for the past 17 years, Mrs. Koper was Catholic by faith and was retired in retail sales from Lowe’s, Gabe’s and McShane’s Flower Shop. Lorraine also enjoyed gardening, landscaping and antiquing. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Mary Koper of Reading, Scott and Johanna Koper of Winston Salem, N.C., and David and Ann Marie Koper of Monessen; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Irma Monticelli of Belle Vernon; eight grandchildren, Kerryann Koper, William Koper, Anthony Koper, Emma Koper, Bailey Koper, Ethan Koper, Chloe Koper and Carter Koper; and her beloved pet dog, Gino. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley R. Koper, in 2018. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Keeping in compliance with the county and state mandates, guests are asked to please abide by personal protective guidelines, masks MUST be worn and social distancing must still be maintained.
