By the Mon Valley Independent
Jillian Butchki scored career goal No. 100 as she and teammate Izzy Laurita each finished with a hate trick as the Belle Vernon Area girls walloped Uniontown, 13-0, in the opening game of a boy-girl doubleheader.
Butchki added four assists and Laurita two in the win for the Leopards (11-2).
Other goal scorers for the Leopards were Morgan Einodshofer with two, Melayna Morgan with two and Farrah Reader, Danika Lee and Kataira Rhodes each with one.
“Jill is one of the most unselfish players I’ve ever had the pleasure of coaching,” BVA head coach Tracy Lovett said. “She always works hard, gives 100% and always has a positive attitude. She’s a true leader on and off the field.”
Rhodes and Chloe Morgan each had a pair of assists.
The Leopards’ Grace Henderson made three saves for the shutout.
Belle Vernon is back in action Thursday at Greensburg Salem in a Section 3-3A contest.
