William C. Brewer Jr.
William C. Brewer Jr., 93, died of natural causes, Oct. 8, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born in Hyndman, Pa. Surviving are his daughter, Terri Jaworowski (Frank); son, William Brewer III (Diann); and grandson, William Brewer IV. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Brewer; wife, Esther Casteel Brewer; two sisters, Catherine Livengood and Gladys Gardner; and two brothers, Albert Ayers Brewer and Robert. Mr. Brewer served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a ballast cleaner in Salamanca, N.Y., and at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Monessen. He also operated the Elf Shelf in Monessen for many years. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at Rhome Funeral Home, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. A burial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct.14, at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
