Marie A. Altomari – Monessen

Marie A. Altomari, 88, of Monessen, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Amherst, Ohio, on June 18, 1932, the daughter of the late Ralph and Angelina Caruso Altomari. Marie was a lifelong resident of Monessen and had worked for American Chain and Cable Company, Pages plant, for 23 years. She also worked for 88 Transit Bus Lines for 26 years in the clerical department. She was an active member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 10 children. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lena Altomari of Scottdale; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Angelo, James, Joseph, Ernest, Frank, Eugene and Alfred Altomari; two sisters, Elizabeth “Lee” Codispoti and Adeline “Tootsie” Stetsko; and by a sister-in-law, Rose Altomari. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen.
