Fred Patterson Johnson Jr., 92, passed away on Oct. 3, 2020, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born on Aug. 16, 1928, in Belle Vernon, to the late Fred Patterson Johnson Sr. and Lucy Ada Johnson. Fred was preceded in death by his siblings, Norma Jean Jackson, Shirley Ann Brizzelle, Frances Charlene Cook, Lawrence Marvin Johnson, Gary Cook, Galeon Cook and Gaylord Cook. Fred “Banjo” leaves behind his former wife, Evelyn Johnson; three sons, Fred, Paul “PJ” and Christopher; one daughter, Evette Johnson; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, Pete Johnson, Charles Ray Cook Jr., Donald Cook of Pricedale and Ralph Cook of Pricedale; and sisters, Audrey Mae Johnson of Belle Vernon and Gail Jeter of Manassas, Va. Viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
