Carroto leads Cougars over B-C

Bella Carroto netted four goals to lead Charleroi to a 6-0 victory over Beth-Center in Section 2-A play Monday. 

Carroto scored a first-half hat trick as the Cougars (3-7, 3-5) took a 5-0 lead into the second half. Morgan Snyder and Leena Henderson added first-half tallies. 

“Bella controlled the center of the field and made the big plays,” Charleroi head coach Traci Fleming said. “DeUnger didn’t play, so some others had to step up to help us get on the board.” 

Addison Conrad made eighth saves en route to her first career save. 

Charleroi, which snapped a three-game losing streak with the win, resumes play Saturday at home against Steel Valley.
