Donna Marie DeRocco – MONESSEN

Donna Marie DeRocco, 78, of Monessen, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 27, 1942, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa Staffieri DeRocco. Donna was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a 1960 graduate of Monessen High School. She graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and worked at Forlini’s Beauty Shop in Monessen. She later worked at and retired from the dietary department at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Donna was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She is survived by her son, Robert (Andrea) Leach Jr. of Monessen; a daughter, Kristin (John) Kerestesi of Monessen; and by her two grandchildren, Paige Kerestesi and Matthew Leach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph DeRocco; and a sister, Toni DeRocco Holmes. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen, with the Rev. Joel Boco officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Those attending the visitation and funeral service are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Only 25 people at a time are permitted in the funeral home. The family would like to thank Donna’s caregivers, Mary Ann Miceli and Marlene Garcia, for the wonderful care they provided.
