Wilma Anne Gibson – Coal Center

Wilma Anne Gibson, 85, of Coal Center, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at The Residence at Hilltop. Born Feb. 15, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Viola Neish Herron. Wilma retired from Mon Valley Vo-Tech, where she worked in maintenance and was a member of Roscoe Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sons, John and Judy Gibson and James (Judy Shwallon), all of Long Branch; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Kristi) Gibson, Adriann Hernandez (Steve), Brittney Tatum (David) and Hunter Tatum (Anna); and six great-grandchildren, Liam Gibson and Layla Gibson, Aidan Tatum and Kalei, Cobe and Caleb Veazey. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Gibson, in 1996; two brothers, Gilbert Herron and Kenneth Herron; and a sister, Naoma Ackinclose. Visitation and funeral services will be private. Interment will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., Roscoe.
