John F. Pileggi White Oak, formerly of Monongahela

John F. Pileggi, 62, of White Oak, formerly of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, in his home. Born Jan. 15, 1958, in Monongahela, he was the son of Patsy and Mary Perecko Pileggi. After his graduation in 1976 from Ringgold High School, John earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, where he was a proud member of the Delta Kappa Phi fraternity. An avid sports fan, he worked as a supervisor for Rapid Response Services, West (Career Links) in Forest Hills. Before moving to White Oak, John was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church in Monongahela. Surviving are two sisters, Mary Beth and husband Robert Pyles of Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va., and Roseanne Evans of Monongahela; two nephews, Jason (Marion) Pyles and Dustin J. Evans (Christina Stack and her children Noah and Lilly); a niece, Teri Evans; and two great-nieces, Clara and Chelsea. Preceding him in death were an infant brother, Walter Pileggi; a brother-in-law, Terry Lee Evans; and a niece, Rhonda Toney. Friends were received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. At the family’s request, private interment was held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15025.
