Harold L. Scott, 73, of Carroll Township, formerly of North Carolina, passed away on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born in Connellsville on May 19, 1947, Harold was a son of the late Herbert and Stella May Scott. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a combat medic in the 25th Infantry Division, (known as “Tropic Lightning”) in Vietnam. Mr. Scott was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Donora. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Francine Withers Scott; and a grandson, Cody Hubbard. Left to cherish his memory are two children, Brian (Lauren) Scott of Florida and Tonya (Forrest) Hubbard of Texas; three grandchildren, Tyler Scott, Kaylee Hubbard and Tony Hubbard; one sister, Connie (Ron) Aitken of Carroll Township; one brother, David (Beverly) Scott of Donora; four nieces and nephews, Deborah (Rick) Burkhardt, Marty (Doreen) Hoak, John Paul (Erin) Reho and David (Dawn) Scott II; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020. A service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, with the Rev. Kenneth Kirby officiating. Interment with full military honors accorded by the Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. In order to be compliant with the new “norm” of COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 25 people at any given time inside the funeral home. Guests are asked to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home. Guests may be asked to limit their visitation times so that all visitors will have the opportunity to pay their respects. Thank you.
