Lucas M. Gessel – Monongahela

Lucas M. Gessel, 28, of Monongahela, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at home. Born Jan. 4, 1992, in Monongahela, he is the son of Edmond D. and wife Janice Gessel of Daisytown, and Carole Ann Ingram Chionchio of Monongahela. Christian by faith, Lucas was a 2010 graduate of South Park High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing video games and watching wrestling. He always looked forward to his favorite holiday of the year, Halloween, and had a laugh that was contagious and made everyone smile that he met. He loved spending time with his three sons, Braxton, Noah and Jace. Lucas is also survived by a sister, Patricia and husband Shannon Myers of Waxhaw, N.C.; two step-brothers, Nathan Shen and fiancée Kim of California, Pa., and Jeremy (Sarah) Shen of Virginia; a step-sister, Gemai Shen of Denbo; a nephew, Chad Myers; three nieces, Allison, Hannah and Sarah Myers; and his maternal grandmother, Marion Ingram of Monongahela. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, where services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, with the Rev. William Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
