Albert “Tom” Neidermeyer Jr., 64, of Monessen, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Surviving are his beloved wife of 38 years, Melissa Milan Neidermeyer; two daughters Christina (Ryan) Yates of Belle Vernon, Alyson Neidermeyer and fiancé Wesley Jackson of Donora; two granddaughters, Madison and Kelsey Yates; and sister, Kimberly (William) McLaughlin of New Eagle. He was the son of the late Albert T. Sr. and Mary Jane Crocci Neidermeyer. After his graduation in 1974 from Ringgold High School, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era where he continued proudly serving until 1985. He retired in 2016 after 30 years as a boiler operator at SCI Fayette. Tom was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and the Charleroi America Legion Post 22 Legion Riders. Tom enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening, fishing, camping and rock ‘n’ roll music, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 where funeral prayers will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by a Mass of Christian burial that will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Belle Vernon with Father Michael Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Mon-Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad. Guests are asked to please abide by personal protective guidelines and social distancing.
