Eugene Neil Carlock Jr., died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020. He was born on July 9, 1954, to the late Eugene Neil Carlock Sr. and Mary Ann Moon Carlock at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Eugene lived the majority of his life in the Mon Valley. He graduated from Donora Senior High School, Class of 1972.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Eugene was stationed at Reese Air Force Base and received an honorable discharge in 1975. A sports fanatic, Eugene loved all sports, but he was an avid Steelers fan. He was a tremendous artist and very precise with each project. For many years, he was a manager at the McDonald’s in Charleroi. He retired from World Kitchen (Corelle Brands) in 2012. Eugene was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, Eugene N. Carlock Sr.; and an older sister, Mary Louise Carlock. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ann Carlock of Donora; three brothers, James (Felicia), John Michael (Kisha) of Annapolis, Md., and Mark (Rosanna) of Menifee, Calif.; four sisters, Patricia of Ohio, Cheryl of Woodbridge, Va., Anita (Benjamin) of Woodbridge, Va., and Catherine (Reuben) of Donora; two daughters, Tameeka (Jeffery) Shannon of Georgia and Fortricia of Lubbock, Texas; several grandchildren and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Eugene was a member of Whole Truth Church of God in Christ, where he served as a deacon. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 5, 2020, at Whole Truth C.O.G.I.C., 1004 McKean Ave., Donora, where a celebration of life service will be held at noon with Pastor Elder Maurice Wade Jr. officiating. Interment with honor guard and a flag presentation will be at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, on Sept. 7, 2020. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, there will be no repast. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of the HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
