Eugene J. Altomari – Monessen

Eugene J. Altomari, 85, of Monessen, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020. He was born May 11, 1935, in Monessen, son of the late Ralph and Angeline Caruso Altomari. Eugene served his country during the Korean War era with the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant and was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Cardis Altomari. Survivors include his children, Bruce A. Altomari (So Han Tse) of Pittsburgh, Mark S. (Vicki) Altomari of Monessen, Timothy J. Altomari of Pittsburgh, Lisa M. (Mark) Karenchak of Allison Park; four grandchildren, Ben and Sara Altomari, Marisa and Aaron Karenchak; and a sister, Marie Altomari. Visitation will be held in the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen on Friday, Sept. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. In accordance with the CDC guidelines, guests are to practice social distancing and use face masks.
