Helen Ciappa Davis – Charleroi

Helen Ciappa Davis, 93, of Charleroi, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born March 16, 1927, in Charleroi, a daughter of Enrico and Nunzia Antonucci Ciappa. She was a graduate of the Charleroi High School and the California Teachers College (now California University of Pennsylvania). Mrs. Davis was a school teacher and retired from the Charleroi School District. She was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Bentleyville, NEA and PSEAR. Surviving are a daughter, LuAnn Davis; granddaughter, Leah Thomson; and great-grandson, Kyler Thomson, all of Charleroi; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are sisters, Della Radomile, Emma E. Bell and two who died in infancy; and brothers, Nick Ciappa and two who died in infancy. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME, 809 Main St., Bentleyville, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Katharine Drexel, 126 Church St., Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, Bentleyville.
