Helen Ciappa Davis – Charleroi

Helen Ciappa Davis, 93, of Charleroi, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born March 16, 1927, in Charleroi, a daughter of Enrico and Nunzia Antonucci Ciappa. She was a graduate of the Charleroi High School and the California Teachers College (now California University of Pennsylvania). Mrs. Davis was a school teacher and retired from the Charleroi School District. She was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Bentleyville, NEA and PSEAR. Surviving are a daughter, LuAnn Davis; granddaughter, Leah Thomson; and great-grandson, Kyler Thomson, all of Charleroi; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are sisters, Della Radomile, Emma E. Bell and two who died in infancy; and brothers, Nick Ciappa and two who died in infancy. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME, 809 Main St., Bentleyville, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Katharine Drexel, 126 Church St., Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, Bentleyville. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests your consideration of memorials to Saint Katharine Drexel. Visit www.thompson-marodi.com to share memories and condolences with the family. Visitors to the funeral home during the visitation will be restricted to 25 at a time and visitors’ time will be limited to five minutes so others have the opportunity to pay their respects. Facial coverings and social distancing are required in the funeral home and church.
