AMD throttles Lee Supply

AMD Industries head coach Bria Rathway has won just about every game during her summer league coaching career — except one.

Her lone loss was most certainly a tough one as it came in last year’s Grebb League championship game, giving AMD an 11-1 record and a runner up finish to end the summer.

Over the last few months, AMD has once again dominated its opponents, claiming an undefeated regular season with a 10-0 record.

It is intent, however, on making sure things turn out differently this time around.

AMD clinched its third straight summer league title game appearance with a convincing 46-30 thumping of Lee Supply in the first of two semifinal games at Marx’s Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth Township Monday night.

The win gives Rathway and her bunch another opportunity to avenge last year’s title game defeat.

“I know the returning girls have a bad taste in their mouth and I definitely think I have a chip on my shoulder from last year, so I think they’ll really come ready to play Wednesday,” Rathway said. “I think the new girls don’t know what it’s like to lose and they don’t want to lose. I hope they come ready and take care of business.”
