Norma Jean Yartin – Monessen

Norma Jean Yartin, 88, of Monessen, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2020.  Born in Belle Vernon on Sept. 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mildred L. Sickles Allen. Norma Jean was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Jim) Fowler of Rostraver, George M. “Mickey” (Kimberly) Yartin of Monessen, and Kim (Michael) Hornak of Monessen; grandchildren, Amy (Justin) Nash, Jimmy (Lorie) Fowler, Jonathan (Ashley) Fowler, Kristie (Sean) Mazurek), Noah Yartin, Nicholas Vavasori and Anthony Vavasori; great-grandchildren, Alex Nash, Hannah Nash, Lauren Fowler, Elizabeth Fowler and Emmalee Fowler; son-in-law, Ronald Vavasori of Monongahela; sister-in-law, Helen Ursinyi of Monessen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Yartin; and daughter, Kelly Vavasori. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald T. Glunt officiating. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery. Everyone attending the visitation and services must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Only 25 people are permitted in the funeral home at a time.
