Martin A. Nogy, 71, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at Family Hospice, Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 1, 1949, in North Charle- roi, he was the son of the late Martin A. and Audrey Spanish Nogy. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Nogy was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, a retired coal miner from Consol Energy, was a member of the Belle Vernon Moose, a social member of the Belle Vernon Legion and Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026. He is survived by his two sons, Brian A. Nogy and fiancée Meenah of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jason J. Nogy of North Belle Vernon; former spouse, Susan L. Nogy of Belle Vernon; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jennifer Nogy of Perryopolis; sister-in-law, Deanne Nogy of Belle Vernon; grandson, Jude Nogy; and nieces and nephew, Brittany, Stephanie and Alan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Nogy. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Keeping in compliance with the county and state mandates, guests are asked to please abide by personal protective guidelines, masks MUST be worn, social distancing must still be maintained and please minimize your visit to allow other family and friends to pay their respects to the family since we are still limited to 25 guests in the funeral home at a given time. Family and friends are also asked to please meet directly at St. Sebastian Church on Thursday if attending the funeral Mass.
