Joseph Paul Trenk, 96, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020. He was born on Sept. 6, 1923, the son of Paul and Elizabeth Trenk. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Vera Trenk and sons Terry and Robert. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Breakwell and Grace and Mark Gillespie, all of Monessen; a son and daughter-in-law, David Andria Trenk of Latrobe; and six grandchildren, Sean (Brianna) Gillespie, Conor Gillespie, Brennan and Dane Breakwell, all of Monessen, and Ian and Colin Trenk of Latrobe. Mr. Trenk was employed at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel plant in Allenport before retiring in the early 1980s. After retirement, he divided his time between Belle Vernon and St. Petersburg, Fla., where he loved to fish.  Mr. Trenk also enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed. There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
