Alma Kay Henzler – Friedens

Alma Kay Henzler, 79, of Friedens, passed away on July 28, 2020, following a brave battle with cancer. She was born on Aug. 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel Becker Williams. Kay worked at Sweeney’s Restaurant, as well as Matway Chevrolet, for many years and retired at the age of 73 from Ogden Newspaper Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband William Paterson; and a sister, Lucy Steller. Surviving are her husband, Hank; daughters, Catherine (John) Mihalik and Rebecca Paterson (Duane) Hillegas; grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Mihalik, Michael (Kelly) Mihalik and Christian and Madison Hillegas; one great-grandchild, Mason Mihalik; one brother, Walter (Sally) Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private service was held at the Friedens Lutheran Church. Interment was at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to DEANER FUNERAL HOME, Stoystown.
