Hope Yvett Dow Harris – Donora

By obits

Hope Yvett Dow Harris of Donora departed this earthly life unexpectedly to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020, at the age of 55. She was born on Sept. 8, 1964, in Baltimore, Md. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sr. and Marian Dow; her loving husband, Kevin Harris Sr.; three sisters, Claudine Dow, Vicky Tyree and Cynthia Dow; nephew, Derrick Dow; and two nieces, Charese and Tracey Dow. Hope was a lifelong resident of Donora. She was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Class of 1983. When you speak of Hope, she was a beautiful friend who would stand by you through everything and someone you could always rely on, beautiful on the inside and out with a very funny and warm personality, but quite a small person who was full of love in her heart. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her three sons, Kenneth Pone of Donora, Kevin Harris Jr. of Donora and Christopher and wife Nicole Harris of Charleroi; one brother, Charles Jr. and wife Geraldine Dow of Moncks Corner, S.C.; three sisters, Denise and husband Donald Hollins of McKeesport, Brenda James of Donora and Faith and husband Calvin Womack of Goose Creek, S.C.; mother-in-law, Barbara Finley of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Hope and her loving smile will be truly missed. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at Whole Truth Church of God in Christ, 1004 McKean Ave., Donora, Pa., where a funeral service will begin at noon. The eulogy will be given by Elder Maurice B. Wade, Jr., pastor of Whole Truth Church of God in Christ. Interment will be private. Final celebrations are entrusted to MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, PA 15063, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, Marshall Marra, funeral director, Bryan Lawson, assistant director.
