Car crash in Monessen

The driver of this Nissan Altima allegedly got distracted while traveling down Donner Avenue next to Foodland in Monessen around 11 a.m. Wednesday and struck a parked Ford Escape, pushing it almost 9 feet. The owner of the Escape was not in the car, he was inside the nearby Italian Society of Mutual Aid cooking at the time of the accident. There were no injuries and the accident was still under investigation as of press time according to Monessen police Officer John Frederick.
