David Wayne Evans, 63, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at UPMC Shady-side Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 1, 1956, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Sr. and Dolores Jane White Evans. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, David attended Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church. Mr. Evans was retired from World Kitchen, the former Corning Glass, Charleroi, where he worked as a warehouseman. He also worked at the former SuperValu and PFX. He was a member of Belle Vernon Moose Lodge 209, a social member of Belle Vernon American Legion, Russian Club and the Belle Vernon Musical Society. He loved country music and enjoyed golfing, bowling and softball. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Sutovich Evans, to whom he was married for 36 years; daughter, Katie Evans and son, Ryan Evans, both at home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Denny and Arlene Evans of Collinsburg and Rick and Lora Evans of Monessen; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Joe Pozer of Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Linda Evans, Judy Dutchko and husband Stanley; and nieces and nephews, Joey, Tony, Cassandra, Denny, Carlee, Carissa, Eric, Lisa and Bobbi Jo. He was preceded in death by his son David Wayne Evans Jr.; brother, Bob Evans; and brother-in-law, John Sutovich. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC with the Very Rev. Stephan Gresh of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Keeping in compliance with the county and state mandate, attendance will be limited to 25 people at a given time. Guests are asked to please abide by personal protective guidelines, masks, social distancing and limiting their visitation time to 5 minutes.
