AMD Industries used advantageous defense and two long runs to strengthen its grip on first place in the Mon Valley Independent Summer Basketball League Girls Division Wednesday at Marx’s Court Time Sports Center.
AMD (6-0) took advantage of sloppy play by Dax Thomas State Farm and numerous turnovers to put together two long runs to push its way to a 63-46 win and remain unbeaten in league play.
Three players hit double figures for AMD led by Trinity’s Kaylin Venick. Venick scored 12 second-half points and finished with a game-high 17 points.
Her Hillers teammate Eden Williamson finished with 12 points and Belle Vernon Area’s Farrah Reader chipped in 10.
