Agnes ‘Aggie’ Vargo Strychalski – Fairhope, Belle Vernon

Agnes “Aggie” Vargo Strychalski, 89, of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 19, 1931, in Fayette City, daughter of Andrew Vargo and Anna Repan Vargo. She was a member of St. Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. Aggie was retired from the Belle Vernon School District. She is survived by two sons, Edward J. Strychalski at home, Andy W. Strychalski and Lisa M. Kukonik of Fayette City; daughter, Constance A. Strychalski and Kenneth F. Miller of Belle Vernon; brother, Joseph Vargo of Fayette City; sister, Dolores Yelich of West Newton; grandson, Andy W. Strychalski Jr. and granddaughter, Alyssa Kukonik, both of Fayette City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward J. Strychalski; six brothers, Leonard, George, Thomas, Edward Andrew Jr. and Herb; and two sisters, Mary Karelli and Dorothy Wetzel. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2020, in the ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, Pa. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Michael Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon.
