Firefighter overcome with heat exhaustion in Donora
Several fire companies worked to bring a house fire under control Sunday afternoon on Waddell Avenue in Donora.
Donora Volunteer Fire Department called for Mon Valley EMS after a firefighter was overcome with heat exhaustion and had to go to a cooling tent. The firefighter was not transported.
There were no other injuries.
Carroll Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Rapid Intervention Teams of Bentleyville and Collinsburg were also called to the scene.
Monessen Fire Department No. 1 was initially called to cover the Donora station, but was ultimately asked to respond to the scene as well.
Crews worked at the scene for about three hours.
