David Lee Popp, 66, of Monessen, died Thursday, July 16, 2020, in UPMC Presbyterian-Montefiore, Pittsburgh. He was born on Feb. 5, 1954, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Mabel Furlong Popp and Raymond Day Popp, who survives, of Rostraver Township. Dave was a 1972 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School and later attended wallpaper hanging school in Vermont. He had worked as a painter, drywaller and wallpaper hanger for the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades. Dave was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors, where he loved building fires. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda L. Donnini Popp; son, Jordon Popp of Monessen; daughter, Cayla Popp of North Belle Vernon; two sisters, Janet (Larry) Mandarino of Monessen and their sons Matthew and Philip, Connie (Jim) Swailes of West Virginia and their children, Chris and Sarah; brother, Eric (Leslie) Popp of Collingsburg, and their daughter Kelly; sister-in-law, Barbara Weible nephew, Kevin Weible niece, Valarie Weible and great-nephew, Davincci Weible, all of Monessen; and his close and supportive friends, Dan and Roberta Bergstedt. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will hold services privately. He will be laid to rest in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.
