Christopher D. “Buck” Tyree, of Monessen, went to eternal rest suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the age of 58. He was born on May 20, 1962, the son of the late Lilian Ann Tyree. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Adele and Daniel Tyree and a niece, MyLah Marie Satterfield. Chris was best known as “Buck” all his life and was a lifelong resident of Donora before moving to Monessen. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Class of 1981. During his time at Ringgold High School, he played on the football team as a fullback wearing the number 45. His favorite professional football team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Buck’s leisure time, you could find him watching football, baseball, basketball, “Sanford and Son” and “NCIS.” He was employed by Dave Barbe at Fourth Street Barbeque Shipping and Receiving Company of Speers, for 25-plus years. On his favorite Sundays off, he loved sipping on his favorite drinks, Canadian Mist and beer. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Imelda Tyree of Monessen; one son, Jeffrey and wife Melissa Anton of Donora; three daughters; Yvonne Anton of Arlington, Texas, Michelle Anton of Monessen and Theresa and husband Frank Lowther of Charleroi; one grandson, Jeffery McAdoo of Belle Vernon; and one loving sister, Mary E. Groomes of Monessen; as well as one uncle, two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Chris will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at First Baptist Church, 541 Allen Ave., Donora, where the funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Quallan T. Hawkins is the pastor of First Baptist Church. The eulogy will be given by Pastor Eric T. Johnson of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Duquesne. Interment will be private.
