While few details have been announced, McKeesport Area School District said Monday it will explain this week what the reopening of schools will look like in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are excited to announce that beginning this week, we will be releasing a series of videos regarding COVID-19 and the direction of our school district, for the fall,” read a post on the district website.
The district said the video series will include an outline of the reopening plan and what changes students and parents can expect, along with educational options for students, a hotline for parents’ questions, instructional expectations, “what we know to this point” and “how we plan to tackle the gap in traditional education over last spring.”
Videos will be posted to the website, www.mckasd.net, and the district’s YouTube and social media pages.
The district also announced Monday that volunteers are needed for the Farmers to Families Food Distribution, which is being held from 10 a.m. to noon July 25.
“This is a no-contact, drive-up or walk-up food distribution for anyone in need,” the district wrote in an event posting.
