Daniel Eric Dyer, 51, of Louisville, Ky., died Friday, July 3, 2020, in the Hazelwood Center, Louisville, Ky. He was born July 3, 1969, in Marietta, Ohio, son of Duane and Judith Vogt Dyer, who reside in Paulden, Ariz. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Celeste (Tracy) Gentry of San Tan Valley, Ariz., and Rachel (Jay) Emenhiser of Whiteland, Ind.; two nephews and two nieces, Tyler Evans, Allison Jackson and Hannah and Austin Emenhiser. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ellsworth and Henrietta Pieron Dyer and maternal grandparents, Henry and Viola Podroskey Vogt. Daniel lived in Louisville, Ky., from 1978 to the present in a facility that cares for the physically and mentally handicapped. Hazelwood Center provides medical care and therapies that develop and encourage skills for maintaining as much independence as possible. Clients go on outings to parks, concerts, ballgames and many others. Hazelwood celebrates Fall Family Festival outdoors in September on its grounds. The clients enjoy live music, booths for food, games and photos that bring families together and sharing common concerns. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Concerned Families of Hazelwood, 1800 Old Bluegrass Ave., Louisville, KY 40215 in memory of Daniel Eric Dyer. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish with the Rev. Douglas Boyd as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
