Helen Messerotes – formerly of Charleroi

Helen Messerotes, 87, formerly of Charleroi, passed away on July 1, 2020. Born on May 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Xenovia “Jane” Tsoukaris Messerotes and Pantele “Peter” Messerotes. Helen had a career working in the Monongahela magistrate’s office for Clyde Tempest and Ronald Amati. In retirement, Helen migrated to Ft. Myers, Fla. Helen’s passions were family, cooking, baking and she was very proud of her Greek heritage. She is survived by her nieces, Diane Jurik Campbell and husband Mike, and Janet Jurik Meinbresse and husband Jeff; nephews, Gary Messerotes, Gregory Messerotes and wife Lisa, Anthony Jurik and wife Linda, and Richard Jurik and wife Janet; grand-nieces, Kristin Messerotes, Erin Campbell Smith and Kristin Jurik Lamott; grand-nephews, Sean Campbell, Bryan Jurik, Andrew, Dale and Steven Meinbresse and RJ and Bradley Jurik. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Irene, George and Tony. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Monessen. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with interment following in Grandview Cemetery.
