Helen A. Malinowsky Trenk – Belle Vernon

Helen A. Malinowsky Trenk, 96, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital, with angels leading her into heaven. Born Sept. 21, 1923, in Fairhope, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances Goarlez Malinowsky. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Trenk was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, was a member of the Christian Mothers from the former Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City, enjoyed playing cards with her local card clubs, bowling, was an avid baker and most of all enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Helen is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Raymond Rathway of Perryopolis and Michelle Moody of Fayette City; ninegrandchildren, Robinette, Ronna, Rae Lynn, Scott, Shawn, Christopher, Douglas, Charlie and Rosemary; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Trenk (5/17/1996); son, William L. Trenk; son-in-law William A. Moody; two brothers, Walter Malinowsky and Adolph Malinowsky; five sisters, Stella Malinowsky, Blanche Petrosky Moskal, Steffie DuJardin, Nellie Basile and Frances Seman. Visitation was Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, in the funeral home, followed by funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mom had her favorite saying and always got in the last word with her “Whatever.” Keeping in compliance with the county and state mandate of “green phase,” guests are asked to please abide by personal protective guidelines, masks MUST be worn and social distancing must still be maintained.
