Scherer leads Rams FP with her arm and her bat

After a close loss to Jaguars FP in its opener of the Mon Valley Independent Senior Swing, Rams Fast Pitch wasted no time getting on the board against rival Washington Township in the second game of its doubleheader.
And pitcher Jillian Scherer helped her own cause in more ways than one.
Scherer blasted a three-run homer in the top of the first to give her team a quick lead and never looked back as the Rams rolled to a 9-1 win.
