Railroad crossings closing this weekend

Signs have gone up at railroad crossings in several Mon Valley communities cautioning residents that the crossings will be closed for repairs next week.
That has raised some concerns the communities between Speers and Elco would be cut off during that period, but Stockdale/Allenport fire Chief Tom Wilkinson said residents and businesses don’t need to worry.
“There won’t be anyone blocked off entirely,” Wilkinson said.
According to Jeff DeGraff, who is in media relations with Norfolk Southern, three crossings will be closed in Allenport this weekend only.
