McKeesport Area has finalized its plans for the Class of 2020 commencement ceremony.

Seniors who are planning to attend the ceremony, which will be held at 5 p.m. June 30 at the high school parking lot, must RSVP to mkiska@mckasd.net or kkenny@mckasd.net by Thursday.

Anyone not participating in the graduation ceremony can make arrangements to pick up their diplomas at the high school Monday through Thursday the week of July 13.

Students are asked to begin arriving at 4:45 p.m. and will be directed where to park. There will be one parking spot reserved for each graduating senior who RSVPs. Loved ones of students are allowed to be in the car with them, but cannot arrive in limousines or buses. Only vehicles with students wearing a cap and gown will be admitted.

Students are not allowed to decorate their caps.

Curt’s Photography will take photos of all graduates receiving their diplomas.

Information about ordering photos will be included with diplomas, but district administrators said it can be viewed at curtsphotography.smugmug.com after graduation.

Any questions should be directed to mkiska@mckasd.net or kkenny@mckasd.net.

The graduation ceremony will be live streamed by Trib Media, WEDO 93.3FM (810AM), and by the district streaming service. A screen will be provided in the parking area for students and parents to watch the ceremony while waiting in the car. However, once students and their families leave the campus, they may not re-enter.
