Geraldine T. Gerda – Rostraver Township

Geraldine T. Gerda, 92, of Rostraver Township, died Saturday, June 20, 2020, at her residence. She was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Smithton, daughter of the late Albert and Mary Seglowitz Fabean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Gerda; a son, Gerald Gerda; sisters Edna Williams, Margaret Stoyek and Elizabeth Beamer; and brothers, Albert Robert and Harold Fabean. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Jordan of Belle Vernon, Connie Volosin and husband Robert Sr. of Elizabeth, and Diane Sanner and husband Roger of Smithton; and a son, Robert Gerda of Rostraver Township. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh, Michelle, David, Richard, Jeffery, Gerald, Sherry, Sarah, Tina, Tamara, Richard Jr., Shelly and Jamie; and 14 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at L.L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Second Street, Smithton. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Clergy is Pastor Bill Bailey. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township. Please follow CDC guidelines and face masks are required.
