The COVID-19 pandemic has kept children from enjoying a lot of things this year, but the annual summer program for kids in Donora won’t be one of them.
Strive and Thrive for a Better Tomorrow will hold its summer program, including lunches for kids from infants through age 18, Mondays through Fridays at the Center of Hope at 780 Meldon Ave.
There will be changes due to the pandemic, of course, including it won’t be an on-site program this year.
“Usually we have kids come down and do activities,” said Strive and Thrive founder Chantal Bey, “but with COVID it has to be different. We’ll do lunch and snacks, but it will be grab-and-go. There will be activity bags. It will have all of the materials needed to complete the activities.”
