Helen Trona – formerly of Rostraver Township

Helen Trona, 93, formerly of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2020. Helen was employed at Westinghouse in Pittsburgh before becoming a mother and homemaker. She later worked at the Willowbrook Golf Course in Rostraver. She was active in her church, the Church of St. Anne, and was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Helen was very active and outgoing. She loved to travel, play bingo, play cards and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and gambling at the casino. She was a devoted mother to her children, Karen (Dennis) Hackett, Debby Assad and Albert J. (Marjorie) Trona Jr.; loving grandmother of Patrick Hackett, Erin Garber, Becki Hackett, Michael Hackett, Adam Assad, Zachary, Nathaniel and Anthony Trona; and great-grandmother of Caleb and Olivia Garber. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 63 years, Albert J. Trona Sr.; a granddaughter, Melanie Hackett; and her siblings, Henry Sadowski, Walter Sadowski, Stanley Sadowski, John Sadowski, Joseph Sadowski, Victor Sadowski and Jennie Angelcyk. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2020, at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at the Church of St. Anne with Rev. David J. Nazimek presiding. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
