Barbara Jo Shinkle – Washington, formerly of New Eagle

Barbara Jo Shinkle, 56, of Washington, formerly of New Eagle, died Friday, June 12, 2020, in The Grove, Washington, Pa. She was born April 3, 1964, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Frank E. and Carole Ann Mouldin Shinkle. Barbara attended Monessen High School. She was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church in Donora and transferred her membership to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monongahela. She is survived by her son, Raymond J. Shinkle of Washington; two granddaughters, Nevaeh and Payton Shinkle; sister, Vicki R. Skraitz and husband Timothy of Venetia; brother, Kevin P. Brown and wife Valerie of Donora; four nephews and two nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Brown; and her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Grace Mouldin. Those who suffer silently and try to hide from the world do not realize the love that is waiting for them at home. Please say a prayer for all those who suffer with mental health illnesses that they find their way back home to their loving family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Private services and inurnment were held in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
