Caroline Patton – Monongahela

By obits

Caroline Patton, 76, died peacefully with her family at Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant, on June 11, 2020. Carol was born Oct. 26, 1943, in Arnold City to Carl and Christine Komperda. She attended Clairton High School and graduated from Douglas Business School. On Feb. 5, 1962, she married Leonard Patton. She lived in Monongahela and worked at Jefferson Hospital until retiring in 1998. Carol enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, working on her crafts and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a woman of faith who was strongly protective of the ones she loved and friendly to all. She will be especially remembered for the happiness, light and the laughter she brought to her family and everyone she touched. Survivors include three sons and their wives, Patrick (Carla), Leonard “Butch” (Kelly) and Troy (Beth); 11 grandchildren, Joel, Tawny, Matthew, Nathaniel, Grant, Angelina, Rebekah, David, Cassidy, Cody and Trey; and one great-grandchild, Aislynn. Carol is also survived by a sister, Christine, who lives in Doylestown, Pa. Carol was a bright light in dark times and always expressed her feelings. She was a steadfast support when it was needed and always had a shoulder to dry tears on. The void that was created by her passing can only be filled by the memories that we will carry with us always. A private celebration of life will be held on June 20, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant. Memorial contributions are welcome at any animal rescue. Please visit Caroline’s online memorial at www.saloom-rega.com to sign the condolence guestbook. Richard Rega, funeral director.
