Aldina Rose Cialone, 85, of Monongahela, River Hill, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in Premier Washington Health Center, Washington, Pa. She was born Feb. 28, 1935, in Monongahela, daughter of Leonello and Mary Bevacqua Marraccini. In the early 1980s, Aldina and her husband Angelo owned and operated Cialone’s Restaurant and Marina in Forward Township. Aldina then became a nursing assistant at the Lawson Nursing Home in Jefferson and the Haven Crest Nursing Home in Monongahela, where she retired. After her retirement, she was a teacher’s aide and a foster grandmother at Ringgold South. Aldina was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish (St. Anthony’s) of Monongahela, and its Altar Rosary-Christian Mothers, where she was the recipient of Mother of the Year. She volunteered making meals for Meals on Wheels in Monongahela. Aldina sang in the choir for the Showboat Variety Show and enjoyed traveling on senior center trips with her brother, Sam. In her free time, she loved to knit, crochet and play bingo. Aldina is survived by five sons, Angelo (Laurie) Cialone, Anthony (Cindy) Cialone, all of Monongahela, Albert (Debbie) Cialone of Big Spring, Texas, Leonello (Kellie) Cialone, and Joseph (Ruth) Cialone, all of Donora; daughter, Angela (José) Tunon of Monongahela; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elena Lazzaris of Jefferson, Leona (Kenneth) Cole, Catherine (John) Matush, all of Monongahela; brother, Samuel (Ruth) Marraccini of Charleroi; sister-in-law, Virginia Marraccini of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo “Bucky” Cialone Jr., who died Jan. 23, 1998; sister, Mary Ashcomb; and her brother, Russell Marraccini. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o Monongahela Senior Center, 102 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2020, with the Rev. Patrick Barkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
