Margaret E. Edwards, 102, of Collinsburg, formerly of Columbus, Ind., died Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born June 17, 1917, in Bloomington, Ind., a daughter of the late John Dillon and Vannie Meadows Hays. Margaret was a member of West Newton United Presbyterian Church and a former member of First Methodist Church, Columbus Ind., member and past Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Order of Amaranth and the Professional Women’s Club, all of Columbus, Ind. Surviving are three children, J. Paul Edwards, Joyce (Jim) Willis, and John Edwards; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathryn Crouch and Sue Shaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Paul Edwards; brothers, John Lloyd Hays and Robert Dale Hays; sisters, Wilma Sundblad and Yvonne McCammon; and daughters-in-law, Sonia Edwards and Dorothy Edwards. Services and interment will take place in Columbus, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to West Newton United Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 314, West Newton, PA 15089.
