Andrew Pacak envisions a day when he receives an opportunity to play Division I football.
It may not occur within the next year or so, but Pacak could be well on his way when he goes the junior college route in the fall.
A former standout on both sides of the ball at Belle Vernon Area, Pacak is preparing to travel four and a half hours away to continue his academic and football careers at Lackawanna College in Scranton.
Pacak announced his commitment and signed his national letter of intent in February.
“I have played football since I was 4 years old and it has been a long journey to get to where I am at today,“ said Pacak, the son of Andy and Sandy Pacak of Rostraver Township.
“I felt as if a lot of people gave up on me, but one person who never did was my dad. He motivates me to do what I do more than anything or anyone on this Earth. My final destination is to make sure he’s not working in five years.
“To play at Lackawanna means everything to me and I can’t wait to call that home for the next two or so years.”
