Nancy M. Farkos – Carroll Township

Nancy M. Farkos, 87, of Carroll Township, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 23, 2020. She was born May 21, 1933, in Charleroi, the daughter of the late Thomas and Bernice May Weldon. Nancy graduated from Charleroi High School in 1951. She became a registered nurse after graduating from the St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1954. Nancy later attended California University of Pennsylvania and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was an RN at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital and later with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Nancy was a member of the St. Andrew of the Apostle Parish in Charleroi and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She is survived by her husband, Louis Farkos; three sons, Craig Farkos of Copenhagen, Denmark, Brian Farkos of Charleroi and Dennis Farkos of Allison Park; two brothers, Tom Weldon and Patrick Weldon; and three grandchildren, Cody, Thomas and Johnathan Farkos. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by an infant son, Louis Farkos; her sister, Ruth Ross; and brother, James Weldon. There will be no visitation.
