Wayne ‘Skip’ Bruce – Belle Vernon

Wayne “Skip” Bruce, 77, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 21, 2020. A son of the late Wayne and Sara Mazza Bruce, he was born in Belle Vernon on Dec. 22, 1942. Wayne was a member of the Russian Club, Belle Vernon Musical Society, West Brownsville American Legion and the Brownsville Sportsmen’s Club. He was inducted into the Belle Vernon Area Football Hall of Fame in 2012. Wayne enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel in 2003 after 41 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Toni Suppa Bruce; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy Scott Bruce of Marion, Ohio, Derrick Bruce of Perryopolis, and Christopher and Amber Bruce of Brownsville; four grandchildren, Nathaniel (Savannah) Bruce of North Carolina, Danny Bruce of Hudson, Ohio, Blake Bruce of Belle Vernon and Camden Kline of Brownsville; and a brother, Kent Bruce of Washington, Pa. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
