Alice Elaine Bergman – Rostraver Township

Alice Elaine Bergman, 89, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, May 15, 2020. Born in Donora on June 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Elsie Simonson Oxley. Elaine was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company and was very active in her husband’s business, Bergman Excavating. A member of Salem Baptist Church, she and her husband enjoyed camping and traveling and spent the winters in Florida. She was an excellent baker. She is survived by her husband, William R. Bergman; sons, William B. (Kim) Bergman of Rostraver and Mark A. (Leanne Fitch) Bergman of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Ronald (Stephanie) Bergman, Desiree (Ron) Wozniak, Shawn (Kimi Jo) Bergman and Jennifer (Mike) Domonkos; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Palmer of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and her brother-in-law, Charles Palmer. Visitation was held Sunday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service was held Monday with Pastor Darrel Evans officiating. Interment followed in West Newton Cemetery.
