Patricia Haines Jones, 87, of Fallowfield Township, passed away suddenly in Jefferson Hospital. She was born May 20, 1932, a daughter of the late James and Dolores Boni Haines. Pat was a graduate of Charleroi High School, class of 1950. She worked as a long distance operator for the former Bell Telephone Co. Pat was an artist and a member of the Mon Valley Art Club for over 60 years, and received many recognitions and awards. She was employed by Modern Art Studio in Charleroi for 40 years. Pat was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years, and a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Charleroi. She served on the Charleroi Youth Commission under former Mayor Adrian Sannier and was a member of the Charleroi Silver Jubilee Committee. Pat is survived by her loving husband, John “Jack” Lee Jones Jr., whom she was married to for 66 years; her three daughters, Kimberly Wilson (George) of Hilton Head, S.C., Kristen Jones (Maureen) of Davie, Fla., and Kelley Blaner (Dave) of Moon Township; her son, John Lee Jones III (Patricia) of Nottingham; her six grandchildren, Adam and Abbey Carcella, Zachary and Alexis Blaner and Nicolette and Ashley Jones; and one great-granddaughter, Haley Carcella. In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her brother, Henry “Hank” Haines. Funeral services will be a private family burial with plans for a memorial service to celebrate Patricia’s beautiful life at a later date. Interment will be in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
