Christine B. Sethman Johnson – Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township

Christine B. Sethman Johnson, 70, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born March 9, 1950, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mildred Salsovic Sethman. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Christine was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, loved doing yard work and her pond, had a love for animals and was always donating to animal shelters. Christine also enjoyed collecting owls and most of all, spending time with her granddaughters. She is survived by her husband, Doug Johnson, to whom she was married 50 years on April 4; five children, Jennifer Johnson and husband Archie of Pricedale, Scott Johnson of Belle Vernon, Matthew Johnson and wife Crystal of North Carolina, David Johnson and wife Donna of Monessen, Brian Johnson of Belle Vernon; and two grandchildren, Emma Johnson and Parker Johnson. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Keeping in compliance with the county and state mandate of “yellow phase,” attendance will be limited to 25 people at a given time. Guests are asked to please abide by personal protective guidelines, masks, social distancing and limiting your visitation time to five minutes.
