James W. ‘Jimmy’ Jackson – Charleroi

James W. “Jimmy” Jackson, 72, of Charleroi, died Friday, May 8, 2020, at his home. He was born in Pricedale on Feb. 29, 1948, a son of James Coleman and Mable Jackson. Jimmy was retired from the former Corning Glass in Charleroi and was a member of the Corning Retirees. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He served as a scout for his infantry and was distinguished as a marksman and sharpshooter. Jimmy is survived by his son, Corey Johnson of Charleroi; a daughter, Ria Johnson of Monessen; a sister, Betty Lawson of Pricedale; and his grandchildren, J-Kwon Johnson, Devonte Gareis, Skylar Johnson and Tatiyana Johnson. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements have been entrusted to LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.
